A close-knit family in a small town in upstate New York, adopt a cute border collie dog from a local animal shelter, and name him - Patches... However, after welcoming Patches into their home, strange and unexplained occurrences begin to take place. Slowly, Patches begins to exhibit questionable behavior which reveal that this dog is definitely not quite what it seems… Simultaneously, a series of gruesome and violent murders begin to take place within the community. Law enforcement is at a loss in identifying or stopping the cause of the horrific murders, and no one sees a connection between the dog and these strange events – except that it's not a dog…
